Interactive maps are wonderful tools. I wasn't aware that Google Earth had so many different features and layers. For example, it can start to aid in the teaching of astronomy which is a subject that is difficult to get hold of primary resources for.
The more I get into this module, the more excited I become about the potential for ICT in the primary school, and am now itching to try out some of these opportunities. Learning will never be the same again......

- Apparently I am really athletic and have endless energy … it must be down to all the walking I do … on the way to Pizza Hut! I enjoy physical activity: football, walking (not just the walking to the pub and back type but the mountain and moorland type), volleyball, tennis and indoor hockey. I like to socialise ... i mean work out at the gym (my third home, third to … McDonalds and Wimpy). I adore the Lake District, it is paradise … without the sun. In my opinion Canada is also paradise … plus the grizzly bears! (if you ever want to live in the scenic Canada CONTACT ME and we can live together (lads ‘jog on’) and hide from the grizzles together. So 1 more year until I become a qualified teacher, a class of my own and the chance to influence lives and inspire children to really look forward to coming to school the next day! Yes test results are important but so is being HAPPY, polite and having a positive attitude towards school and life!
Gooogle Earth is great for using in the classroom there are so many different features and overlays. I've touched on some of the features in my previous experiences but I can't wait to get stuck in properly and really get the most from it.
